What is Contract Comparison?

Contract Comparison is an AI-powered tool that analyzes two versions of a document and highlights every difference — added, deleted, or modified text — so you can review changes without manually scanning pages line by line.

It works on contracts, legal agreements, policy drafts, terms of service, and any text-based PDF. Upload an original and a revised copy; the tool returns a structured diff with similarity scoring and categorized change items.

How it works

1. Upload the original document and the modified version (both must be PDF).
2. The system extracts text from both files and runs an AI comparison pass.
3. Results show a similarity percentage, a diff summary (total items, added, deleted, modified), and structured change details.

Comparison happens server-side. Large documents may take longer; the tool shows progress while the job runs.

Supported formats

• Input: PDF (text-based; scanned PDFs should go through OCR first — see OCR Workbench).
• Output: Interactive diff view in the browser; raw diff data accessible via the comparison result page.

Notes

• Comparison quality depends on text extraction accuracy. Heavily scanned or image-heavy PDFs may produce incomplete results.
• The tool is optimized for text-level diffs in contracts and legal documents; it does not compare visual layout, signatures, or stamps.
• Uploaded files follow the same retention policy as other documents on the platform.
